Masdar has reported and request permission from PLN to expand their 192 MWp floating PV at Cirata starting late 2025 for extra 500 MWp. We formally informed the CEO that Suzhou Foner will build factory and produced the Solar module floating system and request PLN to put Local content as compulsory regulation so that Foner product must be used for Masdar. PLN CEO ask us to know several importany matters: The factory must be started running end of this year or early next year, maximise local content, factory location in jakarta (bekasi mm2100 industrial area) , competitive price. PLN will accomodate meeting between Foner and Masdar for this expansion asap.
For the expansion , Because it is going to be Masdar again, the process is direct selection based on Presidential decree no 112/2022, for expansion of existing power plant the process will be direct appointment to the previous developer, and Masdar has signed Principle of Agreement on April 2025.
Currently, Foner is intensively calculating the investment cost for building a factory in Indonesia. According to a preliminary estimate, the investment for building the factory will be at least 2 million US dollars.
