Many people are curious whether photovoltaic power stations can also be installed on the water surface? The answer is yes. To install photovoltaic panels on the water surface, our floating structure is used as the carrier to support all the equipment of the power station. The floating body is divided into walkway floating body, equipment floating body, connection floating body, and other fastening parts, forming a stable system.
In addition, we need to design the anchoring system based on the hydrogeological conditions, as well as the historical records of wind, waves and currents, and the changes in water levels. The anchoring system consists of anchor ropes, anchor blocks, and anchor piles. All of these must be strictly designed in accordance with the corresponding national standards to meet the actual working conditions of the project site.
Generally speaking, building a 1MW surface photovoltaic power station requires approximately 7,500 to 8,000 square meters of water surface. The material of our floating bodies is usually high-density polyethylene. This material can meet the strength requirements and ensure no pollution to the water quality, and has a service life of 25 years.
